ReplyDeleteI love the concept of "evading the attack", but this got me thinking: why should a sledgehammer be harder to evade than a dagger? if anything, it's the opposite. So, my idea is: why don't all weapons roll the same dice when attacking, but if they would then bigger weapons get a bonus of some sort? it could be flat modifier, it could be roll an additional dice, etc. It's not harder to track than what you are doing here, since weapons are characterized at most by one number (and i would say that most weapons provide no bonus to wounds, so it's even easier to keep in mind).
